Come out this Saturday from 11:00-3:00 PM for BBQ Chicken.
Tickets are $8 Adults / $5 Children (10 & Under)
Plates include: 1/4 chicken, Pinto Beans, Potato Salad,
Sauce, Bread, Pickles & Onion.
Child plates include: Drumstick or Thigh, and the rest!

Silent Auction items can be bid upon from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. If the winner is not present at the end of the auction, they will be notified of their winning bid.

We Have A New Rector

Our search has ended! On behalf of the vestry, it is with great pleasure we announce that The Rev. Christopher R. Duncan has accepted the call to become our new rector effective Monday, June 18th. Fr. Chris will celebrate his first Sunday with us on June 24th. This will be a day you will not want to miss!

Fr. Chris grew up in the Diocese of Texas as a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Richmond. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia. He has served as assistant to the rector of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Austin since 2009. Fr. Chris and his wife Casey have been married since 2006 and have a precious nine month old daughter, Carolena. Watch for further information about Fr. Chris in our parish newsletter.

We are eagerly looking forward to Fr. Chris and his family’s arrival in addition to the celebration of his new ministry at St. Paul’s. Join us in welcoming Fr. Chris, Casey and Carolena. Once again, we are blessed. Thanks be to God!

Palm Sunday, April 1- 8:00am & 10:30am services with palm processional outside(weather permitting)

Maundy Thursday, April 5- 6:30pm service with foot washing, Eucharist, and Stripping of the Altar

Good Friday, April 6- 12:00pm & 6:30pm services with stations of the cross (noon service outside, weather permitting) followed by Good Friday liturgy and communion from the reserved sacrament.

Easter Sunday, April 8- 8:00am & 10:30am Celebration services with an Easter egg hunt and continental breakfast at 9:15am.

Katy Rice Harvest Festival

It’s that time of year again for the Katy Rice Harvest Festival, October 8-9, 2011. This year we are passing out balloons (which has become tradition) along with sports water bottles and magnets with St. Paul’s information on them. Please stop by the Narthex after the services on Sunday to sign up for a 3 hour slot to work our booth. We are in the same spot as the last 2 years. Please contact Stephanie for more information.

BCP 412 “In the course of their Christian development, those baptized at an early age are expected to make a mature public affirmation of their faith…and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop.” Bishop Don Wimberly is coming to St. Paul’s on Wednesday, October 19th at 7PM to administer the sacramental rite of Confirmation for those whom wish to be confirmed.
